Core Sample Pendant 2

Great Patterns of Grey!

Jake has found many core sample in his visits to the mines in Nevada, but this one is really cool.  A core sample is obtained when the mining company drills down with a round pipe and brings up a sample of the rock they encounter.  The rock is then cut open to see what precious ore it might contain.  Jake likes to use these core samples in his jewelry as they make beautiful pieces.  This one is grey and black with an unusual stripe running across it.  You can also see a thin vein of malachite in this stone.  The setting is a sterling silver claw, with posts to hold the stone in place.
