Core Sample Pendant 4
Here is another piece of a core sample Jake found while at an abandoned mine in Nevada. A core sample is created when the miners drilled down with a round pipe and pulled up a sample of the rock they encountered. The sample was then cut open to see if it contained any of the precious metals they were searching for. When the mine was abandoned, the core samples were left behind, and a slice of one of them makes for a beautiful stone. This one has a myriad of colors and patterns. The stone is set horizontally with two sterling silver pins set in the top edge for a bail.
