Emerald Pendant 2

Description

This is a cool stone.  It’s a piece of a rock that Jake found in North Carolina at the Crabtree Mine there.  At one time, this mine was owned by the famous jeweler, Tiffanys, and it produced some gorgeous stones.  But the miners hit a spring while drilling and the shaft filled up with water.  They decided it would cost too much to pump out the water and keep the shaft dry enough to continue mining, so they closed it down.  This stone has areas of deep green emerald mixed with the black quartz matrix.  It is set with sterling silver square wire framing the back with prongs to hold the stone in place.
