Emerald Pendant 5
Raw Emerald From North Carolina!
Every year when Jake comes north from Florida he stops in North Carolina at the Crabtree Mine to dig for emerald. The Crabtree Mine is one of only two mines in North Carolina where native emerald was found. The mine was owned by Tiffanys but was closed when the miners struck a spring that filled the shaft with water and the public is now allowed to dig through the tailings for a fee. The quality of the emerald found here is fantastic. The piece you see here contains raw emerald along with white quartz and black tourmaline that Jake found while at the mine. The setting is sterling silver square wire framing the back with prongs to hold the stone in place.
