Fire Agate Pendant 7

A Beautiful Stone!
Description
This piece of Fire Agate was found by Jake in the desert of eastern Arizona. There are a couple of spots out there that are BLM lands and the public is allowed to search for fire agates, along with other stones found in the area. Fire Agate is a rare gem for a couple of reasons – first, they are hard to find and are only found in a few areas in Arizona and Mexico; next, they are very hard to cut properly and are very labor intensive as they must be cut and polished with a hand tool since they colors are found at different layers within the stone. This stone shows the volcanic bubbles of color that are found in a good fire agate and displays green and rust colors as it turns in the light. The setting is sterling silver with a fancy silver bezel encircled by a twisted copper square wire as an accent. A triangle sterling bail tops this piece.
