Jade Pendant 7

British Columbia Beauty!

Here is a nice piece of Jade that Jake got while he was in British Columbia, on his way up to Alaska.  One of the largest deposits of Jade in the world is in this area, but the mine owners told Jake that 99% of the Jade that is mined is sold to Japan and China.  The mine owners do not allow the public to have access to the mine, but they do allow you to purchase scraps of the raw jade that remain after they work the rock.  This piece has a great color and is set in sterling silver with a solid silver back along with a fancy sterling bezel and bail.
