Description

This beautiful piece of Labradorite comes from a raw rock that Jake bought in a rock shop in North Carolina.  Although you can find some Labradorite in the U.S., the stones in this country are not as impressive as those from other parts of the world.  It was initially discovered in Labrador, Canada, where it got its name and later it was found in other parts of the world.  Today, most labradorite comes from Madagascar, as did this stone.  It has an incredible deep blue color and as it turns in the light it has some lighter blue and yellow, too.  The setting is sterling silver with a pronged sterling bezel and the ring stock is sterling half round wire which Jake has left open so that the size can be adjusted.
