Turquoise Pendant 45

Description

This nice piece of turquoise comes from the Royston Turquoise Mine in Nevada which produces some of the nicest turquoise you can get.  Almost all of the turquoise mines in the American southwest have closed down and the Royston mine is one of a few still producing.  The mine owners allowed the public to dig in the tailings and keep the raw turquoise that they found, but they discontinued that practice.  Jake was able to visit the mine twice before it was closed to the public and has a nice collection of the turquoise that he found there, so he can continue to make new pieces from it each year.  This light blue stone is contrasted by the dark brown matrix rock for a great look.  The setting is sterling silver with a full silver back and a fine silver bezel.
