Wire Wrapped Petrified Wood Pendant
Fantastic Petrified Wood!
This piece of petrified wood was found by Jake near the Petrified Forest National Park in northern Arizona. Although it is illegal to remove any petrified wood from the Park, there is a place nearby that allows the public to dig for the wood for a fee. It takes millions of years to turn wood into stone, and in addition to petrified wood, the land owners also find dinosaur bones on their property while digging for petrified wood. The petrified wood found in this area is very colorful and this piece contains oranges, yellows, and greens to make a pretty stone. The wire wrap is done with sterling silver twist wire for the setting.
