Amethyst Pendant 9
When Jake visited Arizona this year, he was fortunate to be guided to some great gemstone spots by the local owner of a rockshop there. One of the places they went was an abandoned gold mine in the mountains of New Mexico where there was a vein of spectacular amethyst. The gemstone was contained in solid rock and it was very difficult to chisel the amethyst out, but Jake was able to get a few pieces. You can see the beautiful deep purple color of this stone and the great pattern as it mixes with the white quartz. The setting is sterling silver with a full silver back, with a fine silver bezel and topped by a sterling bail.
