Flint Ring

Description

This piece of Flint comes from the famous Flint Ridge area of Ohio.  Jake took a trip there with other members of his lapidary club and was able to collect some nice pieces.  Ohio Flint is known for being especially colorful, but it can be very difficult to know whether you have found a good piece until you slice it open.  This one has reds, blacks, yellows, greens and white with some crystals in the white section.  The stone is set in sterling silver with a scalloped sterling bezel surrounded by a twisted square copper wire as an accent. The ring stock is a sterling square wire and the ring size is 7 and one half.
