Wire Wrapped Core Sample Pendant 1
A Natural Display of Color!
Another beautiful example of the differing colors and patterns found in the core samples of the mines in Nevada. A core sample is rock brought up by the miners from different levels under the surface in the search for precious metals, such as gold, silver and copper. When the mines were abandoned, the core samples were left behind, and Jake was able to bring some back for jewelry. This one has patterns of brown, grey, black and green (the green being malachite), and the piece is wire wrapped with square copper wire.
