Core Sample Pendant 9 – SOLD

Gorgeous Patterns and Colors!

Out of stock

This is a piece of a core sample that Jake found at an abandoned mine he likes to visit in Nevada.  A core sample is formed when the miners drill down using a round pipe and a section of rock is brought to the surface, then split open to see if it contains any of the precious metals the miners are searching for.  At this mine the core samples were left behind when the mine was abandoned and Jake likes to take a few core samples to work on.  Every sample is different depending on the types of minerals that were encountered, some are more appealing than others.  This one is very nice, with a streak of green malachite running through the rock.  The stone is set with copper square wire framing the back and prongs to hold the stone in place.
