Core Sample Pendant 9

Fantastic Patterns and Silver!

Jake finds a lot of core samples at the abandoned mine he visits in Nevada, but the one that produced this stone may be his favorite.  A core sample is created when the miners drill down with a round pipe and bring up a section of rock.  That rock is then split to see if it contains any of the precious minerals the miners are seeking.  When the mine was abandoned the miners left all the core samples behind.  This one has great patterns in it and you can see the silver running through it too.  The setting is sterling silver square wire framing the back with prongs to hold the stone in place.
